TO BE RELEASED

The world around is spinning much to fast
can't catch up to the moment
before it's already past
and the wheel of time is turning
like a carnival ride
making me feel sick and tired sometimes

Looking for a way to try and simplify
too many choices over mudane things
cluttering up my mind
too much traffic, too much noise
and the megawatt porch lights
are stealing away my days
and my peaceful nights

I know that what I'm looking for
is waiting just for me
but I've got to clean my window
of opportunity
to see the road I'm on
and just how far I've gone
on my journey to be released

Constant questions about what I know
with all this macromanagement
everything's overblown
and the cause of all the problems
in the world today
is waiting for someone else
to find the way
