HOLD TIGHT

When I was just a young boy my mother said to me
you can be anyone that you want to be
Now that I am older I found this to be true
I just never realized that on the way I'd choose, me

It's alright, hold tight, ain't no turning back this time

Completely automatic, we simply come to be
Unless we have a vision to create reality
I've tried to teach my children this lesson that I've learned
knowing all the while they'd have to crash and burn, like me

Everytime your standing at the crossroads
You have to make a choice of what to do
Every step you take is the direction
The life your live is pointing to

The faster that we're running, the slower that we go
Missing information that we need to know
Might be around the corner, or maybe straight ahead
Hopefuly we find it before we wind up dead
