A PLACE SO FAR AWAY

Waking up in the morning sun
another day spent on the run
Taking care of business for the man

It isn't all that bad you see
He takes good care of my family
And I've got a lot of room to move around

Dreaming of a place oh so far away
Thinking of ways to get there everyday
It might be the lottery or the music that I play
Taking me to a place so far away

All the tribulations that everyone goes through
Feeling so much stronger when it's me and you
Still we do the best we can, move along our way
Patience is a virtue so they say

A scent of sunshine in the air rainbow lights the sky
Witnessing a miracle in time
It's springtime all around, only for a while
Mother nature wears her glorious smile
