I wish I was a millionaire I'd stay awake till four
I would not be restricted by my 8 to 5 no more
I'd stay asleep till noon stay up late to see the moon
I could really sing that tune if I only had money

I wish I was a millionaire and drove around a Rolls
I would not have to worry about losing my money down at the polls
People would spend their time just trying to buy a car like mine
and life would be so fine if I only had money

but the people would wonder how I got that money in the bank
they'd believe I ripped them off when I filled up their gas tank
they'd think I had connections in the governmental scene
they'd think that I owned GMC and even that could be

but the people might think I'm evil the way I'd live in style
they'd think I had that country ranch where I could see for miles
they'd think I owned the telephones or tankers on the sea
they'd think that I was a militarist and even that could be
If I only had money

I wish I was a millionaire and owned myself this state
had everything passed to me on a 24 karat plate
I'd use my time to play just relax enjoy the day
everything would go my way if I only had money
but I'd give it all away if I only had money
cause there's a Hell of a price to pay for having money
