BETWEEN
THE WORLDS
Morning
time and the fog is lifting rising high
giving way to a sun that's burning
in a clear blue sky
There's a crow in the highest treetop
calling to me
It's a life of moments
and the time is right for thee
It's
a time when the season's changing
from winter to spring
And in the space between the worlds
You see what life can bring
There's
a boy with a bike and football
calling a friend
bringing back that grand illusion
that childhood never ends
It's a matter of perspective
which way you look
All the love that you gave away
against all the love you took
There's
a lady doing dishes
calling my name
did you mail out all the bills
and I slap my head in vain
See the girl who colors pictures
I was intrigued
I forgot all about the stamps
when she gave this to me
There's
a man he's playing music
guitar on his knee
got a habit of hiding
what he doesn't want to see
Still he knows the depth of fortune
that's come to be
suddenly I'm realizing
that the man is me
