There
Is Love
It
was New Years Eve at Seaton's Bar
The last day of 53
I caught the gaze of this bright eyed girl
her name was Marjorie
we fell
in love that night
to show the world what's right
50 years of love, let's celebrate
We witnessed
the depression and oh so many wars
growing up in our younger days
if that old house on Badger Street had the power to talk
I think I know what it would say
There
is love, in very room you'll find
there is love, connected hearts inside
there is love, committments made in truth
there is love, it's always me and you Marjorie
Let's
have a dance you said to me and kindly I obliged
Never knowing things would go this far
You slept upon my shoulder on one of our first dates
still we found ourselves as newlyweds in June of 55
Remembering
the moments when the kids were young
swimming at Winona in the Lake
And the trip to California in that old Galaxy
and all the sites we saw along the way
there
was Zion, Bryces Canyon too
even the great Grand Canyon just to name a few
and then we hit Las Vegas a gamblers paradise
you lost your nickle, I won back two
Baseball
game in the summertime
and Mississippi boogie boards
Our home on 28th strret
we couldn't really ask for more
and your 50 years of marriage
we all celebrate tonight
Happy Anniversary
from Stacy, Steve and Mike
Lawerence
Welk has come and gone
and you two are still standing here
a room full of friends and your family
and the memories of 50 full years
So why don't you have a dance
Like the time when the romance began
1953 in Seatons Bar, New Year's Eve
it was 53 in Seatons Bar, New Year's Eve
