JUST
ALRIGHT
Have
you ever given a thought
to leaving this life behind
you know I haven't lived a day
when it did not come to mind
Do away with the 8 to 5
and the people by you side
like a leaf in the autumn breeze
just taking life for a ride
We
all get tied down
to all the things we've got around us
spending all our time
trying to control surroundings
oh then illusion closes in
and you fall again
think you've reached your final day
might as well be on you way
but you just got paid and it's alright
Pay
your bills in the afternoon
in the evening you get high
what's the reason for staying here
if you don't take your time to fly
you get the money and it's gone again
oh just like yesterday
having coffee with a friend
and I thought I heard him say
You've
got to take some time
to rearrange what's on your mind
see life as a game
and in the end you will remain
but time will wait for time alone
as you're running home
think you reach your final day
might as well be on your way
but you just got paid and it's alright
So
you take the tour again
giving freedom up for gold
though there's nothing left to gain
it's all been bought and sold
tried love on for a while
but the feelings wouldn't stay
now you're searching every cloud
for the freedom you gave away
and
as you're coming down
you see a grassy spot of ground
with fir trees growing tall
don't it make you feel small
Then life's shadow passes by
and you start to cry
you've been here and back again
don't you think it's time my friend
to realize the end is just alright
