UNFOLD

People running around in such a hurry these days
Maybe there's a deadline on the E-trade
Or it's just the direction our society's gone
It's still too fast for me, the kid from Oregon

You know we lose sight of each other sometimes
Even though we're on opposite sides
of the same intersection
Locked inside our own vehicles
Seems like such a strange way to start each day

Always rushing somewhere
is it really where you want to go
Always getting nowhere
until we begin to unfold

It's like we're all curling up in a ball
and clinging on for dear life
to those barriers we've constructed
Like a child in his snow fort
and we're warding off the enemy with bits of ice
And then the sunlight touches you,
and you begin to unfold
