JUST ANOTHER DAYDREAM

67 days without a drop of rain
last night it pounded on my window pane
smell of the dirt fills the morning air
so much I should do today but I don't care

Let's stay here together
Fireplace aglow
If you don't tell
no one else will know

Put some quiet music on the stereo
grab a snack and blanket for the coming show
Sun flashes through the trees
Prisms dangling helplessly in the autumn breeze

Just another daydream from the office chair
Another hour of wishing you were near
Trying just to pass the time that I am here alone
and you are there

Busy life has left behind romantic ways
Still the passions running through the passing days
Need a moment to refresh the chemistry
want to hide the day away just you and me
