Day 1 - 10/24 - - - - I met Tom Dollar in his workshop (garage). I have posted one of his handmade guitars here if you are interested in purchasing it. We visited about the guitar making process and he provided a list of materials I would need and told me to call back when I had them and we could begin working. He would also be working on a new guitar, so I could follow along as he worked through the various steps.

I spent the next couple of days perusing catalogs and on line sites for luthier products - especially wood. I settled on Myrtlewood for the back and sides and Port Orford Cedar for the soundboard. I also purchased a Honduran Mahogany pre-carved neck with block and a double action truss rod.
